Overall assessment of ocular health and visual function.

The American Academy of Optometry recommends annual or biennial dilated eye exams for everyone.

Pediatric and Infant Eye Exams

We are proud members of the American Optometric Association and are InfantSEE providers. This is a one-time service for infants between the ages of 6 to 12 months offering early detection of potential eye and vision problems. There is no cost for this service, regardless of income or ability to pay. InfantSEE is a public health program, to ensure that optometric eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness to improve a child’s quality of life.

Children’s eyes go through the most drastic changes within the first 6 years. We recommend eye exams prior to their first birthdays and again prior to them starting kindergarten.

Contact our front desk to schedule an InfantSEE or pediatric eye exam.

The optometrists at Middlebury Eye Associates, Inc. fit daily disposable soft lenses, extended wear lenses and rigid gas-permeable lenses. Contact lenses can be a convenient alternative to glasses.

Dr. Kayla also fits scleral contact lenses. These lenses are large diameter, rigid-gas permeable lenses which can be more comfortable, stable, and clear for certain eye conditions such as  dry eye disease, severely high prescriptions, and variable corneal conditions.

If you are interested in contact lenses, let the office know when scheduling your comprehensive eye exam.
