Daniel DaPolito

Dr. Dan, along with his wife, Dr. Diane, opened Middlebury Eye Associates, Inc. in 1994. He received his B.S. from Siena College and his Doctor of Optometry Degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. DaPolito then went on to serve as an Optometrist for 4 years in the United States Army as a Captain. He has been dedicated to serving patients in Addison County for nearly 3 decades. He has a special interest in glaucoma management, macular degeneration and ocular disease associated with systemic pathology. Dr. Dan was honored to serve on the Vermont Board of Optometry for 9 years, the last year of which he served as Chair. During his tenure on the board, he worked closely with the Secretary of State’s Office of Professional Regulations to protect the health and safety of Vermonters. Dr. Dan has “officially” retired but you may catch him in the office filling-in once in a while. In his spare time, he built a pizza oven in his backyard; you might see him delivering pizzas in town!

Diane DaPolito

Dr. Diane grew up in Port Jefferson, New York. She received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Duke University. She received her doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Giving back to the community and volunteering have been an important part of her decades living in Vermont. She has volunteered for the Open Door Clinic, the Weybridge Elementary School and as a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years. Prior to the pandemic, she as well as Dr. Kayla spent time delivering eye care in Haiti. Dr. Diane has “officially” retired but you may catch her in the office filling-in.
