We wanted to share a few things with you to help us serve you better in the coming week.
* From April 6th – April 10th, our office hours will continue to be 10am – 2 pm daily.
* We are still using our contact-less pick up system of your contact lenses and glasses. The drop box is located on our handicap-accessible ramp on the side of the building. Just give us a call at 388-2811 when you’re on the way here and we’ll make sure your eyewear is ready and waiting for you!
* A much appreciated way to help support our small business is to order your contact lenses from us! We are currently granting a 1 box/ eye extension on all prescriptions! You can call the office or you can order them on our website .
Thank you all for your continued support during this unsettling time. We are so proud to call Middlebury and this great community our home!
We hope this post finds you and your loved ones happy and well. We are instituting a contact-less system for picking up your eyeglasses and contact lenses. We ask that when you arrive (you can pull right into the small driveway right beside the building!) please call us at 388-2811. We have a drop-box that sits right on our handicap accessible ramp. We will be happy to put your eye wear into this box that you may then retrieve!
We are not seeing patients, routine or emergent at this time. If you do have an ocular emergency we ask that you still call the office at 802-388-2811. We will triage your symptoms and coordinate the care you need.
Hours for the rest of this week will remain 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Beginning next week, we will be open Monday – Friday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. These will be our hours for the foreseeable future. Of course, if this changes we will be sure to post updates both on Facebook and our website www.middleburyeye.com
Thank you for your continued support during this time. We can’t wait to welcome you all back into the office as soon as we are able to! Stay safe and be well.
Due to the coronavirus, we are adjusting our business hours. Tomorrow, 3/24/20 we will be open from 11:00am until 5:00pm. Thank you for your patience and understanding during such an unforeseen time. We are monitoring this situation very closely and the safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance.
We will still be available for curbside pick up of glasses and contact lenses during these hours. Just give us a call when you arrive at 388-2811 and we will bring it right to your car!
Due to the newest guidelines passed down by the CDC, we are no longer able to continue routine eye care.
We are still seeing emergent patients. If you have floaters/ flashes, sudden vision loss, conjunctivitis, foreign body etc we encourage you to call us at 802-388-2811 before going to the ER or Urgent Care.
We are still allowing pick up of eyeglasses and contact lenses but ask that you please pull into our driveway and give us a call when you arrive. We are happy to deliver your eyewear right to your car!
Unfortunately we are unable to perform eyeglass repair at this time.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time. We look forward to re-opening our doors as soon as the CDC recommends. Be well.
As we are certain you are aware, the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 has now been classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The virus can present with a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, and is thought to spread via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes or by touching contaminated surfaces. Older people and people with pre-existing medical conditions may be at higher risk for becoming seriously ill with COVID-19. We feel it is important for everyone to minimize their exposure to this virus to lessen the impact on our community and our health care system.
We want to assure you, Middlebury Eye Associates, Inc. is prepared for COVID-19 and we are taking necessary precautions:
-We regularly disinfect and sanitize all areas of the clinic between each patient encounter and throughout the day.
-No acutely ill patients with fever, cold symptoms, cough, or travel history will be seen within our office.
-We have removed toys, books, and magazines from our patient spaces to minimize the risk of patient contact with the virus.
-We have removed loose pens and are sanitizing all before and after each patient encounter.
-We have reviewed infection control measures with our staff.
-We are thoroughly disinfecting all surfaces in our office on a frequent basis. This includes doorknobs, chairs, counters, railing, exam equipment, pens, clipboards, and any other surface a patient may come in contact with in our office.
-We advise all patients and staff who are exhibiting any symptoms of illness should stay home and contact their primary care provider as soon as possible.
– We are disinfecting frames in our optical between each patient. Patients are putting glasses in a bin to be disinfected after trying them on. The bin and frames will be disinfected on an ongoing basis.
-We continue to monitor and follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
At this time, we remain open to the public to serve your eye care needs. We ask if you have traveled internationally in the last 30 days, have been in close contact with someone who has been in a COVID-19 hot spot, or are recovering from any illness, please contact us at (802) 388-2811 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment.
Upon arrival at our clinic, please use hand sanitizers to protect yourself and everyone who visits our clinic. It is our responsibility as a community to care for each other.
We appreciate your understanding and thank you for cooperating.
As official updates from the CDC and the Vermont Department of Health change, it will be necessary to check back here or call the office to find updates on our office availability and hours.
